The race “Award of the City of Banja Luka 2021” was driven for the Open Championship of the Republic of Srpska, the Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Open Championship of Serbia and the Championship of Serbia.
The competition began with a minute of silence in honor of the competitor Vladimir Šekularac, who ended his life on the track in Beranovac near Kraljevo last month.
About 50 competitors competed in nine classes, which were merged into divisions, for better efficiency.
Competitor of the Galax team Uroš Brkić experienced major technical difficulties with his VW Polo, but at the last moment, right before giving up from the competition, his friends from Bosnia saved the day by borrowing him a car for the race. Uroš successfully finished the race and won the 2nd place in class VIII.
